A 180 mm exterior is not a 180 mm interior
Walls, cap overlap, inserts and tray ends occupy space. No fixed subtraction reliably turns exterior length into usable length. Our finder only compares a Churchill with an explicitly listed usable length; a 180 mm leather case with no interior figure remains unconfirmed.
A narrow margin needs a clear label
Against a listed 180 mm maximum, a 178 mm Churchill leaves 2 mm length clearance. Against a listed 190 mm slot it leaves 12 mm. Both calculations are transparent; the first receives a near-limit flag. Neither replaces a physical fit check or confirms how the lid closes.
