The guide example here is 5½ × 42, equivalent to 139.7 mm long and 16.66875 mm wide. Factory Coronas is listed at 142 × 42, while Coronas Grandes is 155 × 42. Similar names do not mean identical lengths.
Length varies even when the ring stays the same
Cigar Aficionado gives a traditional range of 5½–6 inches and 42–44 ring. That is a family description rather than a ruler measurement. For a fitted travel case, use the length and ring gauge for the exact product. Do not substitute the shortest example from the family.
Do not confuse a loose channel with a secure hold
A relatively narrow Corona can have substantial space in a wide channel. That space does not prove that the case retains a short cigar during travel. A published minimum compatible length is part of the comparison, and unknown retention must stay unknown.
